“I am passionate about helping people find, embrace, and use their voices healthily and courageously. I believe that anyone can sing and that confidence can be taught and learned. I believe that learning to sing is instrumental to building personal confidence. As a teacher, I strive to empower my students not only to sing, but to free their voices to express themselves more and more fully.”
Karin is a Third-Culture Kid who was born and grew up in Germany and speaks English and German fluently. Karin first discovered her love of singing as a youth growing up in Germany, which developed into a passion for opera upon starting her studies at Point Loma Nazarene University, where she was a founding member of and sang several leading roles with Point Loma Opera Theatre. In 2011, Karin was a District Winner at the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in San Diego. She has sung as a core chorister with the San Diego Opera Chorus and as a principal artist with Opera Theatre of the Rockies, Boulder Opera Company, Denver Immersive Opera, Valley Opera, and Lyric Opera of Orange County.
